Rayhaan University Birnin Kebbi is pleased to announce to the public the grant of a Permanent Operating Licence by the National Universities Commission (NUC). This significant milestone reinforces the University’s commitment to quality, sound academic practices, and sustained compliance with academic standards.
By way of recap, the University, in May 2026, hosted a five-member delegation from the NUC, for a crucial Assessment Visit related to the Review of the University’s 3-year Provisional Licence. The assessment was conducted to evaluate the University’s level of compliance with national academic standards and to determine the appropriate basis for the issuance of a Full (statutory) Licence.
The University is glad to report that the outcome of the visit was successful. Rayhaan University Birnin Kebbi has now been granted a permanent licence by the NUC, placing the institution on a sound footing for permanency of operation and long-term institutional growth.
The Vice-Chancellor and Management extend sincere appreciation to the NUC for its oversight and evaluation, and all stakeholders who contributed to the success of the process — particularly the Council, academic and administrative staff, students, members of the University community, and partners who supported the University’s compliance efforts.
